When speaking with Camilla Akrans one gets the impression that there is more hidden beyond her soft-spoken gentility, trendy clothes and blonde flowing locks. It’s as if speaking with an old soul, a true artist that will one day leave behind a body of work that will inspire generations to come. She is shy, reticent to talk about her success, her work, her life as a photographer. Akrans’ photographs tell stories with shadows, color and emotion. At age 32, the once obscure photographer from Sweden has swept into New York’s photography scene, dazzling the fashion ad campaign world, taking with her some heavy-hitters - La Perla, Levi’s Capital E Jeans, J. Lo Fragrance, Eres, Missoni and Hermès.
